I once watched an episode of Oprah were she declared everyone has a story. My story began when I became a mother. I was pregnant at seventeen, became a mother at eighteen, and married at nineteen. Ever since then I feel like I have done more surviving than living this life. Now thirteen years later with almost twelve years of marriage and four children, I want my children to have an adventure!
Traveling has always been an ambition of mine but unfortunately everyday life has sneaked in along the way. Sometimes I feel myself as a mother that I am just going through the motions of bed times, science projects, teacher conferences, baseball games, and everything else. I do not just want to endure motherhood but experience, learn, and explore with them.
In five years my oldest son will be eighteen and before then I am DETERMINED that we visit all fifty states!!! For some it may not seem that big of a feat but for us it has to be done on a budget and with time constraints.
The Rules so far…
1. Visit all 50 states
2. $3000 or less on each trip (except for Hawaii and Alaska)
